(This is a sponsored post on behalf of Floss and Brush. I was given a the opportunity to review these products in exchange for my review. All opinions are 100% mine.)

I have a lot of things in my life that keep me smiling.
First of all, my kids.
I was lucky enough two have to amazing, loving children
who are always finding new ways to surprise me!

I also have a wonderful, hot husband.
He works hard for our family and makes time for everyone.
And, he's a little silly sometimes.
But I love him anyways.

I have great friends.
Friends I've had my whole life.
This is probably my favorite picture of us...everyone a wedding a few years ago.
That was a fun night!

I feel lucky to have been blessed to have some many great things in my life.

And with having so many things to smile about.
It means I need to make sure and take good care of my teeth...so I can keep smiling about all these wonderful things for years and years to come.

Did you know that the American Dental Association recommends replacing your toothbrush every three months. FlossAndBrush.com makes it easy to always have new toothbrushes every three months.

I don't know about you...but I have a lot of things going on every day.

My boys love chocolate shakes!
Whenever we go out to eat or happen to be near a place with chocolate shakes, they get em!

Tonight we decided to stay in and make some at home!
They loved helping!

Chocolate Shakes

2 scoops chocolate ice cream
1-2 cups of milk
2-3 squirts of chocolate syrup

Add the ice cream and chocolate syrup into your blender or Ninja. Slowly add the milk a little at a time. A little milk will make a thick shake, add more to thin it out.

I like to top my shakes with another scoop of ice cream and put in a mason jar.

They would also be great topped with whipped cream or chocolate chips!

This is a great little snack for the kids to help make.

Thanks so much for stopping by today - have a great week!

Cheers!

Chris and I took the kids to go see Monsters University yesterday.
While we were gone, we put our 8 month old German Shepherd puppy, Karlie, in her kennel.
It was hot outside. Too hot for her to be outside.
So, we thought we were doing her a real favor.

After the movie, we stopped over at Petsmart to pick her up some new treats and a Kong squeaky toy.
We made a whole shopping list of things to buy Karlie...new dog bed, more toys, treats and more.

We pulled in the driveway and saw Karlie sitting in the front window.
What happen?
She had squeezed herself out of her metal kennel.

Then she went on a rampage.
And pulled out and chewed everything in sight.

Shoes were all over the place.
My snow globes were on two different levels on the house.
Yes...snow globes.

She pulled out pretty much all of Colton's stuffed animals on his bed.
Fabric that I had on shelves in my office.
The bathroom trash.
Our Toothbrushes.
(She mangled them.)

We also found spoons that were left in the sink all over the house.
And the oddest thing we found...

Hand Weights.

We keep all of our hand weights in a back closet down stairs.
She carried out about seven of them and drug them all over.

The heaviest one weighted 8 pounds.
I'm not sure what she was thinking on that one.

We were happy that nothing of real importance was chewed.
All shoes and stuffed animals were still in tact.

And we had to laugh about it all.
All we could think about what that scene from Turner and Hooch when Tom Hanks character walks in after leaving the dog alone for several hours to an apartment that was completely destroyed.

We had to laugh and Thank God that we didn't come home to that.

This dog.
I swear it's trying to drive us crazy.
I'm hoping she grows out of the puppy stage soon!

What's the worst thing your dog/puppy has done?

I still remember the dog I had as a kid, coming home to find out that our dog has chewed the hose that connected the air conditioner to the house. Or the time she uprooted and chewed to pieces, the brand new tree my dad had planted in the back yard. I don't think my dad thought either of those times were all that funny.

Had to share this story today! Thanks so much for stopping by!

BTW - I zip-tied the crap out of her kennel. Hopefully that keeps her in it!

Last week I started my journey to lose some weight.
I think I've done pretty good this week!

I've been eating better...
drinking alot more water.

I checked out Bob Harper's The Skinny Rules from the library and have been reading it - great ideas for loosing weight!

I've been on the treadmill four days this week....

The other days, I've been walking the dog....

And I've been working the push-up app - here is day three -

(Sorry - forgot to shave! Had to cover it up!)

Now is time for the big weigh in....

Last Monday, I was 176 lbs
Today, I'm 175.

Hmmm....that sucks.

I'm not really sure how much I should be losing each week. I watch shows like "The Biggest Loser" and "Extreme Weight Loss" and those people are easily losing up to 10 pounds a week. I get that I'm not 400 pounds - but it seems like it should be more then a pound in one week.

I have been watching what I eat this week, but there have been a few late nights where the cravings were too much and I gave in. I bought some Chocolate Cheerios to help those chocolate cravings, and that helped.

This next week, I need to focus more on
1. Drinking MORE water.
2. Eating (a good) breakfast every morning.
3. I could stand to bump up my exercise some, but I think my biggest problem is food. Making sure I'm not doing any late-night snacking.
4. Weight training...check out the program from Dfit that I'm doing.

(Last week I had a great comment from Bethany about brushing my teeth after dinner! Great tip!)
I appreciated ALL of the comments last week!!! Thank You so much!

Thanks for checking in with me this week!

Make sure and follow me on Instagram and Facebook for daily updates!

If you're a regular follower of The Kitchen is My Dance Floor, you'll know that I've been working to get myself back in shape. Being new to working out, I'm not always sure what I should be doing.

Which exercises are the best for me?
How many reps?
How many times a week?

Last year, Chris and I joined a local gym. We decided to look into the personal trainers they offered.
I was shocked to find out the cost of a personal trainer.
$400 a month...and that was only working with him for about 45 minutes once a week!
And, I ended up canceling my membership (for $40 a month) because I never had time to go.
With two kids - things get a little hectic around here.

I was searching around for some alternatives to personal trainers and work-out DVDs and found MyDFit.com. Dynamic Fitness (Dfit) is an online, personal trainer - custom made just for you! You can use Dfit to create fully customized workout plans, learn proper exercise techniques, gain access to healthy recipes, and enjoy a vast resource of healthy living information.

What I loved about Dfit is that I could try it for free....and so can you!
They offer an amazing two week free trial
(and...no...they don't ask for your credit card number for the free trial either!)

Signing up for your trial period is super easy.
You'll answer a series of questions asking about your weight, what types of health conditions you have and if you currently exercise.

They also ask what your goals are...weight loss? Body Building? Cardiovascular health?
Mine are for weight loss, more energy and to be stronger!

After I was finished signing up, I was ready to get started with my first workout!
So exciting!!

To be completely honest with you...
when I say what my first workout was going to be, I thought that this program would be too easy.

Uh...no.
I just finished as I'm sitting here typing this and I'm still breathing hard.
And if you're lucky enough to be more in shape then I am...then you can adjust the settings to make your workout harder for you.

Each workout is laid out in video form.
You watch the people on the videos do the exercise and you do it along with them. They make sure and show you the correct form to do each move. And, if you have questions about how to do a move, they have a library of videos that you can go through to make sure you're doing everything right and don't get hurt.

I really love this idea.
As a stay at home mom, I can't always get out of the house at any kind of scheduled time to get the gym.
On some days, I have about 20 minutes of quiet time in the morning that I can work out.
Other days, it might not be until they go to bed.
With Dfit - I can workout anytime and they have a mobile app, so I can do it anywhere!

What I love even more is the price...$9.99 a month.
Look at all you get...

A mobile app, a food log, weekly audio and email messages to help keep you motivated and so much more.

They also have a section of recipes too, I'll be sharing some of these with you over the next several weeks.

Go on over now and get signed up for your free trial - you have NOTHING to lose.

Well...except weight, I guess. But that's a good thing.

You can also follow Dfit on Facebook, Twitter and I love their Pinterest page!

I was given a two month free subscription to Dynamic Fitness in exchange for a review. All opinions are 100% mine. I was not paid for this review or told what to say. It's all me!

Summer went by quickly.
I keep trying to remind myself that we still have plenty of time to do all the fun stuff I wanted us to do...we still have about 5 weeks left. Not much...but it's enough.

At the beginning of the summer, I printed out this summer bucket list.

We've done a pretty good job of getting through some of them - but looking now, we still have a long way to go.

The boys really wanted to do "Kids Plan Dinner". They were so excited to make menus and place mats for everyone to use.

On the menu for dinner will be...

Macaroni and Cheese
Chicken Nuggets
Mashed Potatoes and Gravy
Apples
(I love that they picked a fruit to be on their dinner.)

They were also in charge of making the dinner too.

Colton laid chicken nuggets on a cookie sheet, Ashton stirred the Macaroni.

Colton also set the table.

Then is was time to get all the food on the table.

(we ended up forgetting to actually make any gravy!)

It was nice to have a dinner full of yummy kid food.
The boys loved it and said they want to do this all the time.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!
What have you done on your summer bucket list?
